Each weekend at Lake Effect you’ll find a relaxed and friendly atmosphere with hot coffee and refreshments, contemporary worship music and a practical, relevant message. What you can expect each week is:
If you are visiting for the first time, we will not embarrass you, have you stand up, or ask you to give money. We know that many people want to check out the church and “be anonymous” for awhile—and that’s fine with us! Come in, enjoy the relaxed atmosphere, and see if this is the church for you.
You’ll find everything from shorts to jeans to business suits at our services. Come in what is comfortable for you!
Lake Effect Church is located on the downtown GVSU campus’ Seidman Center, in the Loosemore Auditorium. Free parking for all events is conveniently located in front (map below gives directions to the parking lot).
At Lake Effect Church your children are a top priority. Ripple Effect Kids (for ages birth to 5th grade) is happy environment designed to make going to church fun, safe, and God-centered. For more information, please visit:
Small groups, or Life Groups as we like to call them, are an important part of Lake Effect Church, because they allow you to meet other members and develop relationships that will spur your relationship with God. During the summer months in 2017 we have one Life Group meeting on select Wednesday evenings. For more information, please click the picture:
We will be starting up new Life Groups in the Fall. Be sure to check back!
